Driftwood’s roots trace back to a basement in Upstate New York, where founding members Joe Kollar and Dan Forsyth first began making music as high school friends. Nearly two decades later, the folk-rock band—now joined by Claire Byrne, Joey Arcuri, and Sam Fishman—has built a devoted following through heartfelt songwriting, dynamic live performances, and a sound that blends bluegrass roots with driving rock energy.
Their latest album, December Last Call, marks both a return home and a step forward. Recorded in the same basement where the band began, the album reflects on growth, friendship, parenthood, and resilience while expanding their sound with electric guitars, soaring harmonies, and emotionally honest storytelling.
Known for their powerful live shows and strong sense of community, Driftwood thrives on collaboration, with multiple songwriters and vocalists contributing to the band’s signature sound. More than just a band, Driftwood has become a family—both on stage and among the loyal fans who have supported their journey from the very beginning
