Hughes Taylor is a blues-rock guitarist and songwriter from Macon, Georgia, known for fiery guitar work and a sound rooted in the spirit of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and the Allman Brothers. His music blends raw riffs, soulful grooves and powerful vocals with a timeless Southern edge.His latest release, Roasted (2025), is a two-part album exploring both the darker and more vibrant sides of blues rock. The project earned a Blues Blast Award nomination for “Ballad of Big Bill McGuire” and was recorded across Georgia and mixed at legendary Capricorn Sound Studios.Taylor’s 2021 album Modern Nostalgia won the Atlanta Blues Society’s Best Self-Produced CD award and earned international acclaim. After touring the UK and supporting the Heather Findlay Band, Hughes continues to bring his authentic blues-rock sound to stages across the country.
